National Day of Service

September 10, 2022

Annually in September, the Recreation Park Advisory Commission (RPAC) and the Neighborhood Park Improvement Subcommittee (NPIS) invite the community to join them for a fall park clean up event that coincides with the National "Day of Service" in remembrance of September 11.  The "Day of Service" was established to encourage the public to volunteer in their communities during the week of September 11.

Seven United Day of Caring Volunteers standing together

Volunteers, with gardening gloves and tools, meet at the Recreation Pavilion parking lot at 5303 228th Street SW at 9:00 a.m. to get the assignments before heading out for a park clean up project.

Volunteer groups should register with Parks and Facilities Superintendent Ken Courtmanch in advance so assignments can be planned accordingly. Contact Mr. Courtmanch at 425-776-1811. Please come and join this community cleanup effort – rain or shine.
