MLT Police Patrols Seek to Reduce Distracted Driving

The Mountlake Terrace Police Department will be participating in distracted driving emphasis patrols today, Sept. 7, as part of the Snohomish County DUI & Target Zero Task Force.

Officers will be looking for drivers violating state law prohibiting the use of personal electronic devices (such as cellphones), along with other laws regarding distracted driving. The emphasis coincides with the first day of school for many local students.

Target Zero is a statewide effort to reduce traffic fatalities.

For more information, please contact the Mountlake Terrace Police Department at 425-670-8260.
