[ARCHIVED] Don't Miss April Pools Day

Summer is just around the corner and that means days by the pool and at the beach. Before you dive into the water, make sure you and your family get safely prepared for seasonal water-related activities. Attend April Pools Day on Saturday, April 16 with a Safety Fair in the Lobby from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Pool Activities from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Mountlake Terrace Recreation Pavilion pool, 5303 228th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace.

April Pools Day is a free, family event sponsored by Swedish Edmonds Hospital, Edmonds Family Medicine, and the Mountlake Terrace Recreation Department to promote swimming safety and swimming as a healthy lifestyle.

Get ready for water activities of all kinds. Learn about how to be safe and what you can do. We are teaming up to provide participants with information and activities promoting water safety and life-jacket use.

Participants who complete the water stations from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. will earn a free pass to the 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. Recreation Swim at the Mountlake Terrace pool. There will be a raffle for a set of swim lessons, life jackets and other prizes.

For more information about April Pools Day, citizens can visit www.mltrec.com or call the Recreation Pavilion at (425) 776-9173.
