City officials and the Mountlake Terrace Business Association welcomed Thai Family Restaurant to our community in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, June 7.
The authentic Thai food restaurant has been open for a couple of months and now, with new signage installed, they held their official grand opening. Located in the shopping center with the new Safeway/former Albertsons, you’ll find Thai Family Restaurant at 21005 44th Avenue West #101, facing 44th Avenue at the end of the complex.
Owner Zack Jingjit, a Mountlake Terrace resident, said their menu consists of traditional Thai food recipes developed by his family. When he was younger, Zach attended Mountlake Terrace High School for a year and later moved to Thailand where he met his wife, May.
If you are searching for some great Pad Thai noodles, Zach says this is one of their most popular orders. Zach and May offer about 40 different menu options with most meals in the range of $11 to $15. Their family also runs the Thai Thai Kitchen in Seattle located at 9525 Aurora Avenue North and operated by his brother, Pai.
“The city is thrilled to have another dining option in our community,” stated Community Relations Director Virginia Clough. “And it is a bonus to welcome back Zack and his family to Mountlake Terrace. We hope the community makes them feel welcome and takes the opportunity to visit their restaurant soon.”
Zack moved back to Mountlake Terrace about two and a half years ago and he and his wife are raising their 11 year-old son and 5 year-old daughter here.
