Mountlake Terrace, Edmonds and Tetra Tech Inc. are conducting an aquatic plant inventory on Wednesday, June 27 beginning at 9:30 a.m. to determine Eurasian milfoil species, incidence, and density in Lake Ballinger.

July 3 Fireworks & Fun at Ballinger Park

The third consecutive Mountlake Terrace 3rd of July fireworks and family fun celebration is planned for Tuesday, July 3 from 3:00 to 11:00 p.m. at Ballinger Park (23000 Lakeview Drive).

Hazel Miller Grant Provides New Playground Funding

The City of Mountlake Terrace was recently awarded a $250,000 grant from the Hazel Miller Foundation to build a universally accessible ADA playground on the southeast side of Ballinger Park.

Recreation Pavilion Open - Pool Closed for Maintenance

The pool, pool deck, spa, sauna, locker rooms and racquetball courts will be closed June 18 through 22 for maintenance.

 The office will be open on a modified schedule during this time. The pool will reopen Saturday, June 23.

Personal Fireworks Safety and Laws

As a reminder to the community for the upcoming Independence Day holiday, personal use fireworks are prohibited in Mountlake Terrace as they are in many other surrounding cities.

In 2016, at least four people died and about 11,100 were injured badly enough to require medical treatment after fireworks-related incidents, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
