Award Nomination

  1. Nominations are welcomed and encouraged from all community members. You can nominate your own property or one owned by someone else. Properties being marketed for sale are not eligible.

  2. This category will be awarded to the residential property that consistently looks its best. These properties shine with the efforts of the owners or occupants who take great pride in their property and whose high standards for building and yard maintenance contribute to the character of our neighborhoods and city.

  3. This category will be awarded to the business property that consistently looks its best.

  4. This category will be awarded to the multifamily property that consistently looks its best. These properties shine with the efforts of the owners or occupants who take great pride in their property and whose high standards for building and grounds/landscape maintenance contribute to the character of our neighborhoods and city.

  5. The winners will not necessarily be the properties that are the biggest or most expensive, but they will reflect the kind of loving attention and care that make them the jewels of their neighborhoods. Properties being marketed for sale are not eligible.

  6. This award is for a residential/business/multifamily property that has changed for the better over time, consistent with city standards and with noticeable change over the past year. To be eligible for this recognition, the nominated property would have been transformed, through a concerted effort by its owners or occupants, from a place considered a visual liability to one considered a visual asset. This applies to properties that have been unnoticed and are now “showpieces”, as well as real “eyesores” that have simply become nice-looking properties. Judging will center on the amount of improvement and not the amount of money spent.
