52nd Ave Stormwater Replacement

52nd Ave W and 212th St. SW, Mountlake Terrace, Washington

This project will repair a portion of the City of Mountlake Terrace storm utility system located at on 52nd Ave south of 212th St SW in Mountlake Terrace, Washington. The existing 12-inch concrete and 15-inch corrugated metal pipe will be replaced with an 18-inch storm drain. The work includes erosion and sediment control, demolition and removal of materials, protection of existing utilities, installation of catch basins, installation of storm drains, replacement of sidewalks, replacement of curb and gutter, 2” grind and HMA overlay, full depth HMA pavement repair, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the 2023 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction. The estimated cost of construction is between $470,000 and $530,000. This project is subject to State prevailing wage requirements.

Questions or clarifications regarding this Invitation for Bid must be received by 4:00 p.m. on May 31, 2023. An addendum was posted June 5th and is available in the related documents. The City of Mountlake Terrace will receive and accept sealed bids for this solicitation ONLY through QuestCDN.com via their VirtuBidTM online bid service, eBidDoc No. 8528827.   Bids will be received until 10:00 AM, Pacific Time, on Wednesday, June 12th, 2023.  Bids received through QuestCDN will be opened and read aloud during a virtual bid opening to be held on the day and 1 hour after the time of the bid closing utilizing a Zoom Conference at 11:00 AM June 12th, 2023.  All plan holders will be sent updated Zoom information.

The Contract Documents may be viewed on the City’s website at www.cityofmlt.com/bids.aspx and on QuestCDN’s website at www.questcdn.com, using eBidDoc/Project Number 8528827.  Plans may also be obtained in printed form from the City’s Engineering Services Department upon a non-refundable payment of $600 per set. Project bid documents may be downloaded from QuestCDN at a cost of $42.00, which will add your company to the Plan Holder list and allow access to online bidding for submittal of your bid.  Registering as a Plan Holder on QuestCDN is recommended for all prime and subcontractors as Plan Holders will receive notices of addenda and other contract document updates via QuestCDN. To submit a bid, you must be a registered Plan Holder. A bid deposit in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid total shall be submitted with each bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Mountlake Terrace. The City retains the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in the bidding process.
