The seven-member Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council about community development issues, especially those affecting future land use and growth. Responsibilities include review revisions to the City's Comprehensive Plan and development code.

To apply to serve on the Planning Commission, complete an application and submit it to the City Clerk, Virginia Olsen, at Mountlake Terrace City Hall, 23204 58th Avenue West, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043.
Applicants for Planning Commission should be knowledgeable about planning and development issues.

Due to the ceiling collapse and closure of City Council Chambers, Planning Commission meetings have been moved to the Mountlake Terrace Library on a space available basis. In September and early October 2008, they will be moved to the Ballinger Lakes Clubhouse. Please call (425) 744-6266 to confirm.
