The City
of Mountlake Terrace works proactively with residents and
businesses
to provide permits, inspections,
and land use approvals that help ensure building and development
is done safely and appropriately, consistent with community
standards. The City keeps a record of permits for each
address in the City.
Permits
and/or land use approvals are required for development and
remodeling activities such as:
- Construction
or alteration of buildings and other structures, including
installation or alteration of plumbing, electrical, mechanical,
and fire protection equipment.
- Clearing
or grading of sites; irrigation or erosion control; construction
of driveways, sewer lines, or utilities; right of way use
or access; fences; reuse; and other types of civil engineering work.
- Site
plans; subdivisions; boundary line adjustments; zoning map
amendments; planned unit developments; home occupations;
signage; environmental review; and land use changes.
- Various
other development and land use actions.
