Civic Facilities Advisory Task Force

Photo of Civic Facilities Task Force. In June, the City Council appointed 11 citizens to a Civic Facilities Advisory Task Force. They include representatives from the city’s boards and commissions, Mountlake Terrace Business Association, Seniors Group, and four At-large Community Members.

Purpose
The Task Force, which began meeting in June, is facilitating the review and development of options to replace the city’s aging civic facilities and making a recommendation to the City Council later this fall. Their next course of action is to conduct a service and needs assessment and identify site alternatives and conceptual design options for city facilities as well as other uses and services that may be desired by the community. The Task Force will identify financing options and alternatives including potential partnerships and a community outreach program to obtain feedback and suggestions from citizens.
