Police Services

The Mountlake Terrace Police Department is very responsive to the needs of the community and equally dependant on the community's participation in helping to protect it. It is a partnership effort. The Police Services Supervisor, Joie Worthen, has a wide variety of responsibilities, including supervising the Code and Parking Enforcement programs, Jail Facilitation and Transportation, and Alternative Custody programs. Joie serves on a variety of State and local boards and commissions. She writes and implements grants, organizes training, serves on city committees, organizes city events, and serves as community liaison for the Police department.

Community Programs
The Mountlake Terrace Police Department has a variety of community programs. One of our longest running is Crime Watch, which started in July of 1988. We currently have about 20 citizens who volunteer hundreds of hours a year. These volunteers go out daily, checking the homes of people at their request, while they are away on vacation. This service is available to all Mountlake Terrace citizens by simply filling out a request form. The original form with a signature can be mailed or brought into the Police department. Additionally, Crime Watch volunteers assist with events and hand delivering notifications.

Crime Web
CrimeWeb.Net© is a website that everyone can subscribe to for free to get email alerts and announcements from the Mountlake Terrace Police Department. You can also reply back if you have crime tips or questions. These alerts can be missing adults or children, suspect information or photos, crime trends and scams, or offender release meetings. Announcements are also sent for City events and programs. Stay informed in real time.
