Arts of the Terrace Prospectus

The 32nd Annual Arts of the Terrace Juried Art Show information for fall of 2010. Click on the On-line prospectus above for information and requirements for submitting artwork.

Enjoy paintings, prints, calligraphy, drawings, miniatures, photography, and 3-dimensional works by top local and regional artists. This is one of the best art shows in the region and attracts over 200 guests each year. The Mountlake Terrace Arts Commission and the Friends of the Arts sponsor the Arts of the Terrace.

Fire Station#19,“Legacy” by Louise McDowellThe public artwork for Fire Station 19, “Legacy” by local Seattle artist Louise McDowell, was unveiled November 7, 2009. Fire Station 19, which was dedicated in 2006, is a 6,000 square foot station featuring a lobby, living quarters for up to five staff and apparatus bays for fire equipment. McDowell explains, ““Legacy” is about the passing on to the next generation the legacy of a firefighter, symbolized by the passing on of the hat/helmet.” “Legacy” is located in front of Fire Station 19 located at 5902 232nd Street S.W., Mountlake Terrace.
