OUR PROJECT TEAMThe Recreation, Parks, and Open Space Master Plan for The City of Mountlake Terrace will be guided by the participation and input of citizens and community members like you.
The development of this plan utilizes both a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) as well as a citizen Planning Advisory Committee (PAC). Additionally, we will be meeting with citizens, business leaders, neighbors, and community groups in forums and discussion groups throughout the Master Planning process.
The Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) is a citizen’s advisory group. The PAC represents a broad base of recreation and park interests who share their vision for the current and future park system needs. It is comprised of representatives from the Mountlake Terrace Youth Athletic Association, Seattle Disk Golf, Garden Club, Neighborhood Parks Improvement Subcommittee, Recreation and Parks Advisory Commission, Arts Advisory Commission, Edmonds School District and other recreation and park stakeholders within the community.
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is composed of staff members from the Mountlake Terrace Recreation & Parks Department and representatives from the Community Development Department Planning and Engineering Divisions.
Project Management – MIG
Members of the planning consulting firm Moore Iacofano Goltsman, Inc. (MIG) have teamed with City departments to conduct community outreach and analysis as well as coordination to support the planning process.
Citizens, Friends, and Neighbors of Mountlake Terrace
Significant public outreach efforts include public forums, a Recreation and Parks Survey (statistically valid mailed survey), Stakeholder/Focus Group meetings, a Sports Group Questionnaire, and a Community Visioning Workshop.
