Requesting a Court Hearing

If you received a Notice of Infraction (Traffic Ticket), you may request a Court Hearing within 15 days from the date the ticket was issued. You need to check the box on the lower middle of the ticket that you want to either:

  • Mitigate the ticket. Mitigation means you agree that you committed the violation but there were circumstances that you want to explain to the Judge. OR
  • Contest the ticket. Contesting means that you do not believe you committed the violation and you wish to explain that to the Judge.

Requests for hearings may be mailed into or delivered in person to the Police Department. There is also a secured Payment Box outside the lobby for after-hours.

After 15 days from the date the ticket was issued, or for all other questions about Court Proceedings you MUST contact the COURT for a response.
