The Domestic Violence Coordinator is responsible for the follow up investigation of the domestic violence reports. This includes but not limited to making follow up contacts with victims and witnesses, taking follow up photographs of the victim's injuries, the crime scene or damage to property, obtaining medical records, 911 recordings or any other evidence relative to assisting the prosecution of the offender.
The Domestic Violence Coordinator works directly with the Prosecutor to create an enhanced prosecution approach to increase offender accountability and victim safety. They also conduct ongoing law enforcement training and community education related to domestic violence issues.
