Building Permits
The City of Mountlake Terrace requires permits and remodeling activities. Application forms for permits and land use approval as well as checklists are provided below in a printable format. Please follow these steps before completing a permit application.

Comprehensive Plan
The Comprehensive Plan contains a Housing Element (chapter) that summarizes key housing information within the City of Mountlake Terrace, including select household characteristics, the housing stock, housing affordability, and housing needs. The element contains goals and policies to support a diversity of housing types to satisfy a range of household incomes, to assure that housing and neighborhoods are attractive and that housing has walking access to transportation and community services.
