Friends, family and city officials celebrated the grand opening of Hemlock State Brewing Company in the Mountlake Terrace Town Center. The company relocated from Shoreline and opened to the public on May 17, 2019! Welcome to our community!
The City of Mountlake Terrace welcomed Juicy Power Yoga to our community in November 2018. The business is located in Gateway Place at 6007 244th Street SW, Suite B, near the Gene Juarez Academy and across from Cinebarre movie theater. The facility features classes seven days a week with both heated and non-heated studios. They have showers and lockers and offer cold-brew coffee and kombucha on tap.
The City Council and staff welcomed a new business to the ground floor of Arbor Village in August of 2018. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place just outside the 1,564 square foot salon that offers a spacious and relaxing experience for customers. Owner Danny Nguyen and his wife Lily opened their second salon in Mountlake Terrace because their Lynnwood salon had more business than it could handle. Danny said he realized the great potential of locating in the redeveloping Mountlake Terrace Town Center.
Rosita Sandell, Executive Director of Mountlake Terrace Plaza, invited the City Council and officials to participate in their grand re-opening to celebrate their remodel in August of 2018. Under new management by MBK Senior Living and ownership by Capital Seniors Housing, Mountlake Terrace Plaza (formerly known as Merrill Gardens) had a gala casino event to accompany the ceremony. Mountlake Terrace Plaza sponsored the city's 2018 Tree Lighting Ceremony and they welcome speakers from within the community to come and talk to their residents.
About 20 city officials and guests attended the ribbon cutting event in April of 2018. Banh Mi Bites is located at 23601 56th Avenue W, #600 (in Arbor Village). The restaurant features Vietnamese street food including bites, veggie and meat sandwiches, meatball skewers, smoothies, and coffee and tea specialty drinks.
