Firefighters Memorial Park

This one-acre park is located on 228th Street SW on the border between Mountlake Terrace and Brier.

It was the site of the old Fire Station 18, which was demolished in 2012. In December 2010, Fire District 1 constructed a new Fire Station 18, located at 21206 Poplar Way in Brier.

Firefighters Memorial Park was originally named "Larry Egbert Park" after a Mountlake Terrace Firefighter who was killed in a car crash in the early 1970s. The park's name was changed in the mid 1980s to honor all firefighters after a request from the Mountlake Terrace Fire Department with the blessing of the Egbert Family.
